Belz-Lipman Holocaust Educator
of the Year Award

All teachers with two or more years experience teaching about the Holocaust are eligible for consideration.

The Belz-Lipman Awards recognize excellence in teaching about the Holocaust. The ceremony takes place at the Annual Day of Remembrance planned this year
for mid-April in the State Legislature. In addition to statewide recognition,
recipients will receive grants of $1,000 apiece to be used for attendance at national or international conferences or to purchase materials for their schools or classrooms.

One recipient from each of Tennessee's three Grand Divisions will be chosen.

Deadlines are fast approaching for applications for the Belz-Lipman Holocaust Educator of the Year awards. All applications must be received by March 7, 2008. (At a minimum, if you need an extra week end, please write me by that date to let me know to expect your application the following week.) Click here for a pdf file of the application. Interested teachers should contact Ruth Tanner, Executive Director, at (615) 343-2563 or by email at ruth.k.tanner@vanderbilt.edu.
